Beavers Bust Trojans

Oh what woulda, coulda, shoulda been.  Every single sports site, announcer, analyst was all up on USC’s nuts after the Ohio State win last week.  “The Trojans will be in the BCS championship game, no doubt about it” is all I have heard from the media since week 1.  Thank God for Oregon State to bring these people back down to Earth and let them realize its a long, long season and anything can happen in college football.  Freshman Oregon St. running back Jacquizz Rodgers ran for 186 yards, and piled up 222 total yards and 2 touchdowns on the day.  He scored the game winning 6 after a Sanchez’s errant throw was intercepted late in the 4th quarter still on Southern Cal’s side of the 50, which all but took the life out USC and bandwagon fans everywhere.  Carroll commented on him after the game:

“For whatever reason we just couldn’t tackle him,” Carroll said. “We’d hit him in the backfield and he’d keep bouncing. Him hiding behind the line of scrimmage was very effective. We had troubles with it all day.”

“The reality of the Pac-10 is obvious”

Looks like the Trojans bust in ’08…
